As a developer, I appreciate this post.
Also, support is not just money! If you like a project but aren’t in a position to chip in with $, just leaving a like, a comment or a positive review can go a long way to helping the creators! It increases the visibility and hence the number of people playing and eventually financially supporting a project.
Also I can’t stress enough how much feedback and bug reports help. A good, detailed report is worth it’s weight in gold, so to speak. Most of us are either solo or in very small team, and don’t have the resources to test and QA projects as much as we want to. So an active community can propel a project forward more than people realize.
